Akkar Silah Sanayi is the pioneer and the largest manufacturer of modern shotguns in Turkey. The company started operations in 1989 and by 2004, output had reached 100,000 shotguns per year! Of this quantity, 97% are exported to more than 30 countries. The largest buyer is the United States where Akkar is marketed under the Charles Daly Brand. Akkar shotguns are supplied to the police forces of countries that include South Africa, Argentina, Venezuela, Bulgaria and Egypt where it supplies 5,000 units yearly after besting even well-known Italian brands in technical tests.

Akkar’s product lineup includes pump action and auto-loading models for security, sporting, hunting, and IPSC competition in various calibers. More recently, a finely crafted line of Over and Under shotguns for clay shooting and sporting has been added under the label “Churchill”.
