Total Gun Ban 2010

NEWS FLASH:

It is believed that this Election Period, from January 10 to June 9, 2010, civilians are not allowed to bring home newly-purchased firearms. This is a misconception. It IS possible to do so. According to Comelec Resolution No. 8742, a civilian who purchases a firearm will be given an exemption that will allow him to transport his firearm from our store to his place of residence. Please see a portion of the resolution below:

…amending Resolution No. 8714 regarding “Rules and Regulations on the Bearing, Carrying or Transporting of Firearms or Other Deadly Weapons during the Election Period”, adding that: “In the case of sale of firearms, the transport or delivery of the same shall be done by the authorized dealer itself on a one-way basis directly to the address of the buyer within twenty four (24) hours”
